How it works
- Start a cartoon. The builder opens on a lime-green default that is already standing up and staring at you. Press Surprise me for a random one, or Reset to get the default back.
- Customize its shapes. Sliders set its length, width, curve and tilt, the size of its balls, and how many hairs and veins it has. Switches add or remove the balls, a pair of googly eyes and a party hat, and make the hair curly. Pick a color from the short list, or Blank to color it in yourself. The preview changes as you go, and the page’s link keeps your settings, so a reload, or Back from the editor, finds the same cartoon.
- Carry it into the editor. Continue in the editor puts your cartoon on the drawing page as ordinary shapes (circles, lines and a triangle for the hat) on a layer of their own called Starter, with your own layer on top. Drag a part somewhere else with Select, resize or turn it, draw over it, rub bits out, or delete a part in the Condom Stack, the layers panel. Had a drawing open already? The starter swaps it out, and Undo brings it back.
- Download it, or get it rated. Export & Expose downloads the finished drawing, no account needed. To have strangers rate it, sign in and submit it for review: once an admin approves it, it gets a page of its own with a link you can share.

Questions people actually ask
Is it free?
Yes. The builder, the editor and downloading your drawing cost nothing and need no account. You only need an account, also free, to submit a drawing for review.
Can I edit the result?
That is the whole point. In the editor every part of the starter is an ordinary shape you can move, draw over, rub out or delete, and Undo works on all of it. Changed your mind about the recipe? Go back to the builder, which still has your settings, and continue again.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The builder fits a phone screen and works by touch, and Continue in the editor opens the editor’s phone layout with your starter on the page. Its layers are behind Layers, in the bar along the bottom.
Is anything saved or sent anywhere?
Not by the builder: your cartoon lives in the page’s link until you save a drawing yourself.
