DrawDick.com

Content policy

You must be 18 or older to use Draw Dick. By making an account you are confirming that you are.

This is a site for daft cartoon drawings. That is the entire idea, and it is the only thing it is for.

What will get a drawing removed, and may get your account banned

  • Anything involving, depicting, or sexualising anyone under 18. This one is absolute. There is no funny version of it, no ironic version, and no cartoon exemption. Accounts are banned without warning and without appeal.
  • Real, identifiable people. No drawings of a named or recognisable person, whether you know them or not.
  • Harassment. Nothing aimed at a specific person - not their name, not their likeness, not a nickname only they would recognise.
  • Hate. No slurs, no hate symbols, nothing targeting people for who they are.
  • Personal information. No names, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or handles, yours or anyone else's.
  • Photos of people, or of anything explicit. If you draw on a photo, it is reviewed and published with the drawing, so all of this applies to it too: no recognisable people, with their consent or without, no nudity or sex, and nothing that is not yours to share. It is shrunk and stripped of its location and camera details on your device, before it goes anywhere.
  • Contact details in a drawing's words. Text you add to a drawing is reviewed and published with it, so all of this applies to it too, and a drawing whose text has a web address, an @handle or a phone number can't be submitted.
  • Anything illegal.
  • Advertising and spam.

Everything is reviewed before anyone sees it. When you submit a drawing it goes into a queue, and it stays private until an admin approves it. If it is rejected, it simply never appears.

Featuring your drawings

Once an admin approves a drawing, it is shown on its own page and in the site's lists: the rate page, your artist page, the leaderboards and their King Dong of the Week crown, and the Daily Dick winners. The site makes these lists automatically, and being in them is what publishing a drawing means.

Anything beyond that needs your permission, and there are two kinds. Both are off until you turn them on, on My drawings, for all your drawings or for one at a time. Drawings you published before this version of the policy are no different: none of them is featured unless you turn a permission on for it.

  • On-site features. Your drawing shown in the Dicktionary, in editorial awards the site picks or writes up, such as a Dick of the Week, or in promotional spots on drawdick.com.
  • Promotional reuse. Your drawing used in DrawDick's social media posts, fundraising campaign materials, or press material.

Turning a permission off, for all your drawings or for one, stops any new use from that moment. A drawing you turn off for on-site features is taken out of the features on drawdick.com and cannot win an editorial award from then on. Something already posted, printed or sent to the press may stay where it is, and nobody can recall copies other people have downloaded or reposted.

We keep a record of each choice you make and when you made it. A drawing that is taken down or deleted, or whose artist is banned, is not featured at all.

Reporting

Every published drawing has a report button. You can report a given drawing once, ever. When three different people report the same drawing since its last review, it is hidden automatically, before any admin has looked.

Contact

If you do not have an account, or something needs attention urgently, write to abuse@drawdick.com.

Anyone can ask for a drawing to be removed, with an account or without one, on the removal request page (drawdick.com/removal, linked at the bottom of every page). We act on every request within 48 hours.

Your account

If you want it deleted, write to abuse@drawdick.com and we will remove it. Your drawings and ratings go with it. We keep a minimal moderation record - what was done, when, and to which drawing - with your account removed from it.

This policy can change. If it does, you will be asked to accept the new version before you can post again.
